Jaishankar will attend the meeting of Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of SCO. It will be the third CFM meeting that India will be attending as a full member of SCO.

The Ministry also said that even as the ground commanders of the two sides were in discussions to de-escalate the situation, the Chinese troops on August 31 “again engaged in provocative action.
