Ceylon Chamber of Commerce delegation visits New Delhi to forge new business links

The Sri Lanka Investment and Business Conclave will be held in Colombo from 16th to 17th September 2019, and Indian industry members are invited for their participation at the event in Colombo, to explore new business and investment opportunities.

With the initiative of the Sri Lanka High Commission, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce led a two day business promotion mission to New Delhi on 16th July 2019, to continue establishing business and trade links with industry leaders in the Northern States of India.

This business delegation comprised six leading companies representing areas such as manufacturing, IT, logistics, construction, services, etc.

According to the Sri Lanka High Commission, this two day programme was organized by the High Commission and included a business interactive sessions followed by B2B meetings with members of the PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Exporters Organization (FIEO), Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and the Indian Importers Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IICCI).

During the business interactive sessions, the leader of the delegation, Senior Assistant Secretary General of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Lilakshi De Mel, made a detail presentation on Sri Lanka Investment and Business Conclave scheduled to be held in Colombo from 16th to 17th September 2019, and invited Indian industry members for their participation at the event in Colombo, to explore new business and investment opportunities.

The business delegation led by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce included Managing Director Ceyteck International Pvt Ltd- P.S Rathnayake, Senior Legal Counsel F.J.& G de Saram – Praveeni Algama, Manager Regional Business Development Hayleys Adventis Limited – Dilanjan Perera, CEO, The Capital Maharaja Organisation – . Sumith Kumara, and Business Development Manager/Delhi,BoardPAC Private Limited- Mr Sameer Das represent the industry sectors of manufacturing, services, IT, construction and logistics.
