Kazakhstan and Pakistan Deepen Ties

Ties between Kazakhstan and Pakistan are dynamically growing. To give further impetus to bilateral ties, Chief of Army Staff of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, General Asim Munir paid an official visit to Astana.
There he met both with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as well as with Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Murat Nurtleu
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Chief of Army Staff of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, General Asim Munir who called on him at the office during his official visit to the Central Asian country on 23 April 2025.
General Munir also met Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Murat Nurtleu
During the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Kazakh-Pakistani partnership, with a particular focus on trade, investment and transport-logistics cooperation.
In particular, they reviewed opportunities for expanding transit and transport collaboration, which would help to unlock the potential of bilateral business ties, as well as joint projects currently under consideration.
Minister Nurtleu stressed the importance of advancing projects in agriculture, logistics, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and information technology.
