Russia denies “disruption” in supplies of S-400 missile systems

Russia’s Rosoboronexport has denied any delays in the supply of the missile system S-400 system to India. Contracts were being executed in the stipulated timeframe, said General Director Alexander Mikheev, in an interview to Russia ‘s RIA Novosti in Riyadh. He was speaking during the World Defense Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The refute came in reference to some recent news articles that appeared in the Western media referring to comments made by some members of India’s armed forces. According to them the conflict in Ukraine and deepening sanctions against Russia had impeded planned deliveries by Russia of “major defense supplies”, which alluded to the S-400 Triumf missile system. The news of disruptions in the supply of the remaining two divisions of the missile system as well of spares for Russian made military aircrafts was also reported in the Ukrainian press.
Respondingt o questions posed by RIA Novosti on the veracity of claims be8ng made on the disruption of supp.ies of S-400 to the Indians, Mikheev said that the contrac’s timeliness were being honoured and the contract was being executed accordingto stipulated timelines.
